Fix your Invisible Pen drive/USB within 180 seconds!

In our busy professional life we use USB/ Pen drive/ Flash drives to store important data on daily bases. What if something goes wrong with the USB as you plug it in! Boom. You kept your important data there but you are unable to see the USB device listed in your “My computer” as you plug it in.

In this article we’ll be discussing how to overcome these kind of situations without getting panic and over-whelmed.

Solution: Go to windows search bar or press windows key and type “Disk management ” Note the disks shown and plug your USB notice the changes(Like wise another disk hops on disk management window).

As show in the above image I’ve marked my USB device with red rectangle so now as we can see that when we connect our usb device it is visible in “Disk management window” but not in my “computers windows”. This is because Windows drive letter is missing as we can in disk 0 which is our local hard drive all partitions have been assigned a drive letter like “C, D & E ” but in case of Disk 1 (Our USB drive) we can not see any such thing. So we’ll be assigning it a drive letter.

• Right click on your target drive
• Choose fourth option “Change drive letter and paths”
• Click on “add” button.
• Choose any desired letter from the drop down menu named “Assign the following drive letter”
• Hit “OK” and boom! You’re all done.

Now if you open your my computer you will be able to see your USB drive there. ❤
